Jeanette Marie Eddy

Breaux Bridge-With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jeanette Marie Eddy, 80, of Henderson, Louisiana, who passed away peacefully at her home on June 27, 2026.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 1;00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. 

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.

Rev. Ricky Casteneda will officiate the memorial service. Readers will be Janice Eddy and Addalyn Davis. 

Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.

Born on June 7, 1946, Jeanette dedicated her life to her family, creating a home filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was the beloved wife of Darrel James Eddy, Sr., with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Jeanette was a devoted mother to Darrel Eddy Jr. (Denise) and Shane Eddy (Susan). She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jeannine Eddy.

She was a proud grandmother to Shana Davis (Shane), Jon Ross Eddy (Janice), Kristin Gauthier (Justin), Hopelyn Eddy, Chance Eddy, Kaylee Serrette, Luke Lasseigne (Paige), Harley Mowery (Timothy), Ashley Tankersley (Jeff), Blake Eddy, Anna Willis (Matthew), Michael Eddy (Tara), Emily Eddy, and Patrick Eddy.

Her greatest joy was her growing family, and she treasured every moment spent with her 20 great-grandchildren: Amelia, Tryston, Olivia, Charlotte, Gabriel, Addalyn, Sawyer, Arya, Angelle, Noah, Silas, Gavin, Emilee, Gunner, Avery, Kenzley, Gracely, Abel, Levi, and Aubrielle.

Jeanette found beauty in life's simple moments. She loved watching hummingbirds and cardinals gather outside her window, finding peace in their daily visits, and took great pride in growing beautiful sunflowers and a garden that flourished under her loving care. If you stopped by during gardening season, chances are you never left empty-handed. She always made sure family and friends went home with a bag of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and whatever else was ready to be picked. She also enjoyed the thrill of a good casino trip, where laughter and time spent with loved ones made every visit memorable.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrel James Eddy, Sr.; her daughter, Jeannine Eddy; her parents, Morris and Ann Hergruder; and her sister, Linda Sue Daigle.

She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sherry Judd (Steve) and Yvonne Stelly (Harris); along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Jeanette will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, unwavering love for family.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Darrel James Eddy, Sr., and her cherished daughter, Jeannine Eddy. The memories she created, the love she shared, and the example she set will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
