New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Jeanne Gary Loignon, 89, who died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in New Iberia.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Theo Landry will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
Mrs. Loignon was born on November 6, 1923 in Vermilion Parish, and was the daughter of Eloi and Aurore Trahan Gary. She worked for Franks Tea and Spice Company, and also as a cafeteria worker for the Iberia Parish School Board. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy L. Louviere of New Iberia; 6 grandchildren, Michelle Darby and husband Robert of Cecilia, Suzanne Burrow and husband James of New Iberia, Toni Broussard and husband David of New Iberia, Racheal Hebert and husband Marc of Lafayette, Michael Louviere of New Iberia, Renee Hebert and husband Rickey of New Iberia; 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Loignon; brother, Paul Gary; sister, Ann Lemaire; great grandson, Darren Louviere; and a son-in-law, Freddy Louviere, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Bill Trahan, Robert Darby, Michael Louviere, David Broussard, Rickey Hebert, Robert Gary, Larry Vidallia, and Brandon Darby.
