Jeff Soileau

Arnaudville - A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Jeff Soileau, 73, who passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his residence. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:30 am. 

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am followed by a Eulogy by Amber Breaux. 

Father Travis Abadie will officiate the Memorial Service. 

Jeff honorably served in the United States Army for 10 1/2 years, where he served in the Vietnam War and was a helicopter mechanic. Jeff was very proud of his military service and was a true patriot. He was a devoted member of the Patriot Guard Riders, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. Jeff was also a member of the VFW and the VFW Honor Guard, where he served as a Local Commander of Post 5153 for many years, as well as a State Commander. 

After his military service, he continued to work as a diesel mechanic for over 40 years. He was well known for his expert Bingo calling at the VFW Hall and his greatest passions were riding motorcycles and watching movies. Above all, he loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores Robin Soileau; son, Jeff Soileau (Jeffery Cook); daughter, Amber Breaux (Thomas); brothers, Anthony Soileau (Jeanne) and Abraham "AJ" Douget (Joan); grandchildren, Kayden Guilbeaux, Jack Guilbeaux, Marguerite Guilbeaux and Lyla Resendiz; and step-grandchildren, Aaron Breaux (Afton), Laiken Breaux, Collin Breaux and Jayden Breaux. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Soileau; daughter, Malyssa Soileau; and his parents, Jeff Soileau and Earline Douget Soileau.
