St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church honoring the life of Jeffery James Laperouse, 59, who passed away on October 26, 2025, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and will continue on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Wednesday.
Rev. Jason Vidrine will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Annie Simar & Bobby-Jo Poirier.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffery Laperouse, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on October 26, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on February 15, 1966, Jeffery exemplified a life filled with passion and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Jeffery was a proud member of the Stone Cold Cajuns Band, where he shared his love for music by playing the piano. Music was a cornerstone of his life; it brought joy not only to him but also to those around him. His talents extended beyond the stage - he found peace and satisfaction in fishing, camping, and cooking, often gathering friends and family around the dinner table or at festive Christmas celebrations. His love for travel and stops at the casino further enriched his life and provided cherished memories with loved ones.
His commitment to hard work was unwavering - he owned Jeff's Compressor Repair for over 20 years. Jeffery dedicated himself to providing a good life for his family, a principle he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Jeffery Laperouse will be remembered not only for his musical talents and joyful spirit, but as a hardworking man devoted to his family. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. As we gather to celebrate his life, may we find comfort in our cherished memories and the indelible impact he made on us all.
He is survived by his spouse of 39 years, Robynne Laperouse; daughters, Courtney Simar, Danielle (Brendon) Delahoussaye, Kristen (Trey) Laperouse, and Amanda (Austin) McCarty; sisters, Debra (Daniel) Fuselier, Kathleen (Wayne) Hebert, Angela (Kimmy) Lasseigne, and Christine (David) Sammonds; and his grandchildren, Annie Simar, Harvey Simar, Evan Simar, Jeffery Delahoussaye, Sawyer Delahoussaye, Margaret McCarty, Aimes Morgan, Townes Morgan, and Jax Morgan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Lorena Simon Laperouse; and his father-in-law, Jackie P. Segura.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hebert, Philip Sammonds, Travis Fuselier, Brendon Delahoussaye, Austin McCarty, and Trey Morgan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Felix Duplechain and Russell Castille.
