New Iberia - A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM , Monday, January 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Joan Champagne, 51 who died Friday, December 31, 2010 in Youngsville Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant. Born on January 28, 1959 in New Iberia , Joan worked as an accountant at Marine Industrial Fabricators for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and cross stitching. Survivors include her husband, John Dave Falgout of Youngsville; mother, Louise Dugas Champagne of New Iberia ; daughter, Courtney Puckett and husband John of Youngsville; son, David Boudreaux of Atlanta , GA ; step daughter, Hannah F. Landry and husband Jacob of Erath; step sons, Troy Falgout and wife Angie of Houston, Jason Falgout and wife Leah of Delcambre; brothers, Paul A. Champagne and wife Renee of New Iberia, Matthew Champagne and wife Andrea of Buford, GA; sisters, Tanya C. Burton and husband R.L. of St. Francisville, Andrea C. Metz and husband Eric of New Iberia; grandchildren, Alyce Puckett, Zack Puckett; step grandchildren, Ahna Falgout, Emmy Falgout, Ali Rae Falgout, Zeb Falgout, Jack Landry, and Jules Landry. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Champagne; step father, Andrew Champagne; grandparents, Valcour and Alida Romero Champagne, Rule J. Dugas, and Erazie Chatignier. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Monday.
