Coteau A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Joey Glenn Broussard, 47, who died Friday, August 8, 2014, in Coteau. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM. A native of New Iberia, Joey was born on September 1, 1966, and was a lifelong area resident. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and helping others by giving of his time and talents. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Lee Broussard of Coteau; son, Jake Anthony Broussard of Coteau; parents, Edwin Glenn and Belda Harry Broussard of New Iberia; grandfather, Edwin Broussard of New Iberia; sister, Grindle Whatley and husband Bobby of New Iberia; brother, Chad Broussard and fianc Suzette Hulin of New Iberia; godchild, Nicholas Broussard of New Iberia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alan Lee and Jackie Rafferty of Bowie, Maryland, Patrick and Debbie Lee of Kansas City, Missouri, Neal and Susan Trim of Youngsville, Chris and Lauren Lee of Loreauville, Kevin and Leslie Champagne of Houston; nieces and nephews, Jaci Viator, Sydney Trim, Dianne Trim, Paul Lee, Elizabeth Lee, Jessica Lee, Jonathan Rafferty-Lee, Riley Rafferty-Lee, Christopher Lee, Collin Lee, Caden Lee, and Cohen Lee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alcide and Josephine Judice Harry, Ethel LeBlanc Broussard; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hoyed and Dianne Cenac Lee. Pallbearers will be Stacy Broussard, Chad Broussard, Chris Lee, Patrick Lee, Bobby Whatley, and Kernie LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers include Neal Trim, Ernie Moreaux, Jason Broussard, Paul Camacho, Corey Camacho, and Dean Charpentier.
