John "Bobby" Cormier, Sr.

Breaux Bridge A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for John L. "Bobby" Cormier, Sr., 85, who passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at St. Martin Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 8 am until 10:15 am on Saturday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service. Readers will be Michael Cormier and Denise Latiolais. Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. John was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War, proudly and honorably serving his country in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force 1st Air Commando Wing. He retired from military service after serving an enlistment period of 20 years from August 23, 1945 until August 31, 1965. John enjoyed flying his Cessna, deer hunting and the great outdoors. He loved visiting over a cup of coffee with his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, John L Cormier, Jr. of Oregon, Anthony "Tony" J. Cormier and his wife, Patty, of Breaux Bridge, and Michael W. Cormier and his wife, Carolyn, of England; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Tony Cormier, Jr., Christina Cormier Boudreaux, Jeremiah Cormier, Denise Cormier Latiolais, and Michael Cormier, all of Breaux Bridge, Mary and Andrea Cormier of Oregon, Scott and Jason Cormier of England, and Curtis and Michael Martin of Nevada; and his 7 great grandchildren; Wisteria, Siena and Arrigo Cormier of Texas, Chaz Cormier of California, Emily and Kate Boudreaux, and Dawson Latiolais, all of Breaux Bridge. He is preceded in death by his parents Denis and Edith Broussard Cormier; his daughter, Patricia Cormier Martin; and his brother and sister-in-law, Denis D.J. and Emarite Cormier.
