New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for John Franklin Anderson, Jr., 51, who passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 10:00 am until 10:45 am at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Rev. David Jeffreys will officiate at the Funeral Service. John enjoyed woodworking, carpentry work, barbequing, and dancing with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Morris Henry of New Iberia; his father, John Franklin Anderson Sr. of New Iberia; his girlfriend, Dorothy Boutte of St. Martinville; his daughter, Becky Menard of New Iberia; his brother, Michael James Anderson of Monroe; his sister, Peggy Anderson Girard of Lafayette; and his granddaughter, Abigail Menard. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benson Allen Anderson and Hildred Ward Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Boutte, Chazz Doty, Carrol Lindon, Rusty Rogers, David Shank, and William Boutte.
