Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m , on Saturday, January 22, 2011 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for John Earl LeBlanc, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Fr. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. John Francis Regis, will officiate at the services. Sandy Lagneaux will read the scriptures. Serving as gift bearers will be his wife, Linda, his children, Monique and Jamie and his grandson, Gage.
Mr. LeBlanc raised beagles and chocolate labs. He enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow. He was a member of the American Kennel Club and Bayou Blue of Cankton Club. John Earl never met a stranger; everyone who passed in front of his house was always greeted with a smile and a wave of sincerity while he sat in his wheel chair. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Olivier LeBlanc of Arnaudville; his mother, Nola Oliver LeBlanc of Arnaudville; his son, Jamie LeBlanc and his fiance, Sandy Lagneaux of Courtableau; his daughter, Monique Boudreaux and her husband, Brent of Cankton; his sister, Mary Ann Latiolais of Arnaudville and his grandson, Gage Boudreaux of Cankton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence LeBlanc; mother in law, Lorena Olivier; father in law, Edward Olivier and brother in law, Ronald Olivier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited by Bee Zerangue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Jamie LeBlanc, Brent and Gage Boudreaux, Kevin and Mike Olivier.
