John Venable

April 17, 1938 — January 30, 2011

John E. Venable passed away in his home after an extended illness while in care of Heart of Hospice, and his great grandchildren, Jude and Jade Otis Boudreaux. On behalf of the entire family, Thank you! John was on the high school boxing team in Sunset and Rayne, a Veteran Marine, he worked for Texaco for 25 years, and a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Many people preceded him in death, such as his mother, Josephine Venable, his father, Voorhies Venable, sisters, Louise Fristoe, Adeline Menard, Florence Melancon, Helen Mott, and brother, Joseph Willard Venable. He is survived by one brother, Louis AB Venable. His wife, Jo Anna Denais Venable also preceded him in death in 2006. He is survived by his three children, who deeply mourn the death of both their parents. Their daughter, Victoria V. Boudreaux, her five children, Catrina, Paul, Donald, John, and Jared Boudreaux, and his 16 great grandchildren. His son, Steven V. Venable and his three children, Robert, David, and Elizabeth Venable. And his youngest daughter, Vivian V. Haug, and grandson, Sammy Haug. He will be greatly missed by all.
