Breaux Bridge- A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for John "Dale" Vice, Sr., 66, who passed away on January 7, 2026.
A visitation will take place at the Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge on Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Sunday by Jeannie Bienvenu.
Deacon Dennis Landry will officiate at the funeral service. Readers will be Colleen Angelle and Rilee Vice.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Dale was born on November 10, 1959. He was a skilled welder in the oil field for many years, known for his dedication to his craft and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished his time spent hunting and fishing. Dale was also a devoted sports fan, passionately supporting his favorite teams including the New Orleans Saints, UL Ragin' Cajuns, Braves, and LSU Tigers. John "Dale" Vice will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Paulette Cormier Vice; father, Elphege Vice, Jr.; son, John Vice-Stoute (Willie); daughter, Brandy Guidry; grandchildren, Bailey Vice (Dymond), Layla Guidry, and Chelsea Guidry; great-grandchild, Rowan Vice; siblings, Lonnie Vice, Sr. (Karen), Jody Vice, Sr. (Yvonne), Jada Angelle (Rene), Jude Vice (Allison), and Jordy Vice (Emma).
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Janice Domingue Vice; in-laws, Ray and Mildred Cormier; brother-in-law, Merlin Cormier; and sister-in-law, Nicole Seneca Vice.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Vice, Sr, Jody Vice, Sr., Jude Vice, Jordy Vice, Bailey Vice, and Eric Vice.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rene Angelle, Gerry Lasseigne, Sr., Lonnie Vice, Jr., John Vice-Stoute, Jody Vice, Jr., Dylan Vice, and Hayden Vice.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
