Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church honoring the life of John Wayne Benoit, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM.

A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 PM on Wednesday.

Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Callie Simon and Alaina Benoit

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum.

John Wayne Benoit was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with the people he loved most.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and could often be found tending to his garden, hunting, working on projects in his shop, or gathering with family and friends for cook-outs and good times. He also had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion for family and friends.

John had a hardworking spirit and a kind heart that touched many throughout his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, share advice, or simply enjoy the company of those around him.

John will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to those he cared about, and the countless memories made through laughter, music, meals shared together, and time spent outdoors doing the things he loved most.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Benoit (Cassie); grandchildren, Alaina Benoit and Andrew Benoit; and his companion, Nell Stelly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Emma Quebedeaux Benoit; and his sister, Rose Marie Benoit.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Benoit, Frankie Stelly, Andrew Benoit, Steven Simon, Elton Stelly and Randy Lormand.
