New Iberia - Private services will be held for the immediate family of Johnny Joseph Dore, 77, who passed away on Friday, February 3, 20233 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Johnny Joseph Dore was born on March 19, 1945, to the late Stuest "Pete" Dore and Ella Broussard Dore. He proudly served our country in the Army National Guard for six years, and worked as a welder and a roofer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but what he cherished most was time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Dore is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patsy Dore; three daughters, Pansy Dore Landry (Dale), Johnnie Dore Goutierrez (Jason), and Tammy Dore (Chad); grandchildren, Johnathon Angers (Samantha), Jardi Hulin Jones (Rex), Kourtni Lynn Goutierrez (Will), and Samuel "Sam" Goutierrez; a great-grandson, Rex Randall "Lil Rex" Jones, III; and a sister, Judy Dore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Joseph Dore; half-brothers, Walter Dore, and Jap and J.C. Dorsey; and half-sisters, Ruby Dorsey Guilbeau and Ruby Dore Champagne.
Pallbearers will be Johnthon Angers, Sam Goutierrez, Dale Landry, Ronnie Duhon, Nat Champagne, and Rex Jones.
