New Iberia ;- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jolen Barrilleaux Gros, 77 who died Monday, December 28, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. ; Rev. Jude Halphen will be the Celebrant. ; Born on August 7, 1932 at Weeks Island, Mrs. Gros worked as a bookkeeper for several area companies. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, crocheting, and playing pokeno. ; Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Dudley Gros of New Iberia; sons, Darrel Gros and wife Susan of New Iberia, Elward "Woody" Gros of New Iberia; daughters, Janell Hays and husband Darrell of New Iberia, Denise McClure and husband Lee of New Iberia; sister, Billie B. Mellon and husband Ronnie of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kevin Boutte, Ashley Hyde and husband Mike, Jonathan Gros and fianc Jessica, Matthew Gros, Samantha McClure; great grandchildren, Cody Michael Hyde, and Caleb Anthony Hyde. ; She was preceded in death by her parents, Elward and Marie Delcambre Barrilleaux; son, Wesley Gros; and great grandson, Braiden Bourque. ; Pallbearers will be Kevin Boutte, Jonathan Gros, Matthew Gros, Lee McClure, Woody Gros, and Darrell Hays. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 3:30 PM until 8:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday.
