Joseph JJ "JJ" Courville

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Joseph "JJ" Courville, 95, who passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Morgan City. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia from 9:30 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Tuesday. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. The Most Reverend Glen Provost, Bishop of Lake Charles, will do the Final Commendation. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. JJ was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his nephews, Msgr. J Douglas Courville of Berwick, LA and James Ray Courville, Jr. and spouse Betty of Winterpark, CO; and great-nieces, Zoe Courville Franzel, Ph.D. and Xan Courville, M.D. He was preceded in death by father, Luke Courville, mother, Marie Dupuis Courville, brother, James Raymond Courville and sister-in-law, Suzie Huval Courville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests either Masses or donations be made to St. Stephen Church in Berwick, LA.
