Joseph "Tuttee" Weston Richard, Sr.

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church honoring the life of Joseph "Tuttee" Weston Richard, Sr., 68, who passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Rev. Greg Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Anna Lou Rachel. Gift bearers will be Ty'Asia Richard, Talia Richard, Taya Richard and Jervan Wiltz.

Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.

Joseph was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his family, he took great pride in his ability to provide for and nurture his loved ones.

Above all, Joseph loved to cook, take care of his lawn, wash his car, and spend quality time surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Richard; mother, Shirley Papillion Richard; children, Joseph (Tyra) Richard, Jr. and Latoya Wiltz; grandchildren, Tyasia Richard, Talia Richard, Taya Richard, Jervan Wiltz, Morgan Wiltz and Tylan Neveu; brothers, William Richard, Michael Richard and Joseph Papillion; and his sisters, Cindy Potier, Lisa Richard and Nicole Thomas.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Chantel Richard; father, James Richard; and his sister, Linda John.

Pallbearers will be Corey Potier, Jacoty Potier, Michael Richard, Christopher Richard, Joseph Provost, III, and Jorel Provost.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Richard, Jr., Tylan Neveu, Jervan Wiltz, William Richard, Joseph Papillion, Joseph Provost, Jr. and Perry Provost.
