Josephine Detiege

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Josephine Pratt Detiege, 96, who passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her residence. Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Detiege was a lifelong parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church and was a member of the Block Rosary Group. She devoted much of her life to taking care of her mother, sister, husband, and the local parish priests. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing Pokeno, and going to the opera. Survivors include two brothers, Leonard Pratt of St. Martinville, and Adolph Pratt of Liberty , TX ; and her sister, Catherine P. Zenon of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Detiege; her parents, Adolph and Aspasie Rochon Pratt; her brother, Joseph Pratt; and her sister, Isabelle P. Arceneaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
