It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Joslyn, 16, on Friday, May 16, 2025. Although her life was just beginning and she was taken from us too soon, Joslyn lived life to the fullest every day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette
Rev. Alexander Albert will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Wednesday, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
A rosary, led by Deacon Chris Doumit, will be prayed at 6:30 pm, on Tuesday at Pellerin Funeral Home.
A social butterfly, Joslyn was charismatic with an infectious laughter and magnetic presence. She was beautiful, intelligent, funny, quick-witted, creative, determined, and had a radiant energy about her. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, and friend. Joslyn enjoyed spending time with her family and was constantly eager to be involved in the next fun event with her many friends. She was always ready for a beach trip, and was known for her love of french fries and her favorite Starbucks pink drink. She was stylish and often wore the color pink, a visual representation of her bright personality.
A truly talented individual, she explored many hobbies and interests from a very young age. Throughout her life she was involved in dance, gymnastics, fine art, and most recently found a passion for volleyball. She put so much time and effort into the game and became an exceptionally skilled player. She’d just made her school volleyball team at NISH, a goal of hers for several years. She was ecstatic to play with her new team this upcoming school year.
We are comforted in knowing that Joslyn is now safe in heaven with two of her favorite people, her Mawmaw Vanessa and Pepaw Rocky. She touched the lives of so many in such a short time, and her memory will be forever cherished by all who love her.
