Joyce "Poopay" Ann Landry

Breaux Bridge Joyce Ann "Poopay" Landry, was born on February 28, 1960, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Preston and Eula Demouchet Landry. On Thursday, January 2, 2014, she was granted eternal rest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Monday, January 6, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home on Carver & Dauterive. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 am on Monday. Rev. Peter Emusa will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her passing, but cherish her memory forever, one daughter, Kaisha Landry (Aaron); one son, Kendrell Landry (Shayla), all of Breaux Bridge; four sisters, Barbara Landry, Jacklin Francis, and Priscilla Broussard (Leroy), all of Breaux Bridge, and Drucilla Ricks of Hammond; three grandchildren, Courtland Landry, Kobe Smith, and Kortez Landry; a nephew that she considers her own, Derrick Demouchet of Hammond; four godchildren, Heidi Daniels, Marcus Landry, Jamar Edmond, and Kadeem Demouchet; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Landry; her infant son, Emmanuel Landry; four brothers, Wilbert LeBlanc, Terry, Carroll, and Darrel Landry; two sisters, Marjorie Edmond and Theresa Landry; one niece, Joann Demouchet; three nephews, Christopher Landry, Alton Francis, Jr., and Murphy Edmond; maternal grandparents, Frank and Adelma Demouchet; and paternal grandparents, Adam and Aspazie Landry. Pallbearers will be Shavar Francis, Donald LeBlanc, Domonic Broussard, Edward Boyd, Freddie Ricks, and Malcolm LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Courtland Landry, Kadeem Demouchet, Jamar Edmond, Kendrell Landry, Marcus Landry, Kobe Smith, Kortez Landry, Alvin Demouchet, Javon Broussard, Cody Broussard, Harry Perry, Dwayne Edmond, and James Alexander.
