Juanita 'Lilly' B. Guidry

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Juanita "Lilly" Broussard Guidry, 88, who passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, in Breaux Bridge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 12:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Monday by Tina Breaux. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Tiffany Gautreaux and April Landry. Gift bearers will Brooke Talbot, Lacie Coco, and Kayla Patel. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Lilly was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church where she taught religion for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, cooking, going to the casino, making her famous pralines for everyone to enjoy, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. Lilly loved decorating, gift-giving, sharing her love for everyone, and praying for "Peace on Earth". She will be remembered for being so meticulous about her home and the kindness she graced every person she ever met in her life. She is survived by her son, Perry Guidry and wife Shara of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Christine G. Begnaud of Youngsville, Sandra G. Grossie of Breaux Bridge, Karen G. Caillouet of Lafayette, Pam G. Poirier and husband Gerald of Breaux Bridge, Charolette G. Lalonde and husband Keith of New Orleans, Norine Guidry of Breaux Bridge, Trisha G. Gravouilla and husband Rod of Breaux Bridge, and Brooke G. Talbot and husband Derrick of Breaux Bridge; 16 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Joseph Guidry; her parents, ONeil and Helen Lasseigne Broussard; 3 sons-in-law; and several brother and sisters. Pallbearers will be Gerald Poirier, Keith LaLonde, Rod Gravouilla, Toby Landry, Steven Thomas, Tim Thomas, and Byron Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be William Romero, Micah Guidry, Nilay Patel, and Taylor Boudreaux.
