Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Julia Chavis Joseph, 91, who passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 in Houston , TX. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Joseph Campion will officiate at the funeral service. Scriptures will be read by Betty John. Survivors include her son, Joseph Marshall Joseph of Houston, TX; six daughters, Mary Marjorie Bradley of Houston, TX, Lou Anna Lewis of Breaux Bridge, Audrey Mae Joseph of Houston, TX; Mary Margaret Porter and her husband, Earl, of New Orleans, Mary Alberta Menard and her husband, Steven, of Breaux Bridge, and Jessie Marie Joseph and her husband, Barry, of Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Rose Mae Ledet of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Alton Joseph; parents, Phillip and Alberta Williams Chavis; three brothers, Hayward , Clarence, and Willis Chavis; and three sisters, Gertrude Prince, Mable Wiltz, and Genette Howard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until 10 a .m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
