Breaux Bridge- A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2026, at Teche Baptist Church for Julius Courville, Jr., 93, who passed away on July 26, 2026 at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital.
Pastor Reggie Williams will officiate the memorial service.
Julius was born on October 14, 1932 in Breaux Bridge. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning an honorable discharge. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was an active member of Teche Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Julius had a passion for music and was a member of the singing group "Three Cats Screaming in a Barrel," joyfully sharing hymns at local nursing homes and community events.
An outdoor sportsman, Julius loved hunting and fishing, and his cooking skills were unrivaled, particularly when it came to his renowned bread pudding. He was also a dedicated fan of the LSU Tigers. He most cherished his family and the time shared with them. Julius will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the community he cherished.
