St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Justin Noel Narcisse, 28, who passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 201 Gary St., St. Martinville, LA 70582. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Augustinus Seran, SVD, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Paulette Gerard. Gift Bearers will be DAshanti Jones and Ashton Raymond.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Justin was born with a gift - a gift and immense passion for music and piano a unique talent which he pursued diligently. He loved singing and making music and taught piano lessons, at his own leisure, in his home.
Justin served as the Minister of Music at Notre Dame Catholic Church and was a part of the Notre Dame Youth Group. He loved having family gatherings and getting together with friends.
He is survived by his father, Walter Narcisse of St. Martinville; his brother, Walter Patrick (Sharone) Narcisse of Houston, TX; his sister, Sandra (Daryl) Narcisse-Jones of Pooler, GA; nieces, D'Ashanti Jones of Pooler, GA and Ashton Raymond of St. Martinville; nephews, Dominic Jones of Pooler, GA and Kason Narcisse of Houston, TX; his godmothers, Angela Randle of Parks and Jackie Narcisse of St. Martinville; his godfather, Wallace Dale Narcisse of Parks; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lewis Narcisse; his nephew, Elijah Narcisse; and his godfather, Fr. Armand Francis Theriault, SVD.
Pallbearers will be Larry Alexander, Donald Borel, Reginald Hill, Travon Simmons, Malcolm Ledet, Gilbert Wiltz, and Brandon Payne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Jones, Wallace Dale Narcisse, Walter Joseph Narcisse, and Walter Patrick Narcisse.
