Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church honoring the life of Kaleena Brianna Demouchet, 33, who passed away on June 14, 2026, at her residence.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
Fr. George-Bede Ajuruchi will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Marie Alexander Celestine.
Burial will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
Kaleena B. Demouchet, a beloved daughter and sister, who left us on June 14, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on July 14, 1992, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Kaleena spent her life in Breaux Bridge, where she became a cherished member of the community.
Kaleena was a kind-hearted individual whose warmth touched the lives of many. Though she completed her education through the 12th grade, her intelligence and insight extended far beyond formal schooling. She dedicated her working years to the retail sector, where her smile and friendly spirit brightened the days of customers and colleagues alike.
Family was the joy of Kaleena's life. She enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, and sharing laughter with her loved ones. Her passion for life was evident in her love for preparing and sharing meals, as well as her fondness for shopping and engaging in heartfelt conversations on the phone. Faith was also an integral part of her life, as she found strength and joy in attending church.
She is survived by her father, Dalton Alexander; brother, Kenan Paul Demouchet; godmother, Anissa Demouchet; godfather, Clayton Ledet; maternal grandfather, James E. Demouchet; nieces, Kayla Charles, Kaja Dickerson, and Eva Lynn Taylor; great nephew, Kaison Charles; aunts, Betty and Florence Alexander, Leslie Wiltz and Anissa Demouchet; uncles, Albert James Alexander and James Lewis (Henrietta); great aunts, Ruby Narcisse, Dorothy Barber, Anna Belle Alexander (Francis), and Johnella Breaux (Michael); great uncles, Carol Barber and Harold Celestine (Prenella); a special friend, Applonia Amest; and a host of cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanzett Demouchet; brother, Kaleel Demouchet; paternal grandparents, Mary Edith and William Alexander; maternal grandmother, Eva Demouchet; great grandparents, Anna Lou and Paul Barber, Hanley, Sr. and Anna Mae Celestine; uncle, Tyrone Celestine; great aunts, Florence Williams, Leona Celestine, Vergie Lewis, and Rita Lewis; great uncles, Melvin, Donald, Harold and Peter Barber, Leroy, Ronald, Hanley, Jr. and Melvin Celestine.
Pallbearers will be Albert Alexander, Dwayne Barber, John Williams, Dominque Lewis, Applonia Amest.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenan Demouchet, James Demouchet, Clayton Ledet, James Lewis and Harold Celestine.
