Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Keith James Courvelle, 53, who passed away on October 24, 2026.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday. Rev. Evan Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. Readers will be Nathan Mouton, Lila Mouton, and Ray Rebert.
Following the service, Keith will be taken on one final ride through Breaux Bridge in a motorcycle hearse, honoring his love for the open road and adventurous spirit. The procession will conclude at the funeral home, where cremation will follow. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Keith Courvelle was born on October 31, 1972. He was a 1990 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and served in the United States Air Force. Keith was truly a man of many talents. Throughout his life, he worked as an aviation mechanic, in the offshore industry, conducting land surveys, and performing pool repairs. He owned Louisiana Pool Coatings, LLC and had a great reputation for his work in fiberglass and swimming pool coatings. There wasn't much Keith couldn't do, and whatever he set his mind to, he did it well. His knowledge, determination, and ability to master just about anything were qualities admired by many.
An avid outdoorsman, Keith found happiness on the water, especially when fishing. He was also passionate about cycling, staying active and healthy, and enjoying the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Keith lived life to the fullest, always on his own terms and never missing an opportunity for a little adventure.
Keith had a mischievous spirit, a quick wit, and a love for a good joke. He also had a creative side and enjoyed expressing himself through writing. But above all, it was his friendships that meant the world to him. Keith was the kind of friend everyone hoped to have-loyal, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He never hesitated to show up for someone in need, and his genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was also the proud owner of his precious pups, Bandit and Reign, whom he loved dearly.
Keith's passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, countless friends, and the community he was such a special part of. He will forever be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unforgettable personality, and the way he made those around him feel valued and loved. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will be cherished for years to come.
He is survived by his mother, Hilda Hale Courvelle; sisters, Dawn Courvelle (Ben) and Ginger Mouton (Mitchell); nephew, Nathan Mouton; niece, Lila Mouton; and a host of relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elwood "Smiley" Courvelle; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Belzie Menard Courvelle; and maternal grandparents, John Dee and Rachael Grace Gordon Hale.
Pallbearers will be Michael John Bernard, Shane Thibodeaux, Kagan Breaux, Daniel Courvelle, Leon Theriot, and Derrick Courvelle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Mouton, Ben Callender, Nathan Mouton, John Glenn Breaux, Ray Rebert, and Jean Paul Guidry.
