Kenneth Charles Gerard

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Kenneth Charles Gerard, 54, who passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Entombment will follow at a later date. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Kenneth was born on January 18, 1962 to Andrew, Sr. and Elaine Boutte Gerard. He attended New Iberia Senior High School, and was a cook for various offshore companies for 21 years before retirement. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Verrett Gerard; daughter, Erin Pepper and husband Colby; parents, Andrew Gerard, Sr. and Elaine Boutte Gerard; a brother, Andrew Gerard, Jr.; a sister, Delta Ann Gerard; granddaughter, Elise Gaspard, all of New Iberia; step sons, Tommy Verrett and wife Monica of Breaux Bridge, Gerald Verrett and wife Michelle of New Iberia, and Sherman Verrett of New Iberia; a step daughter, Pam Boutte and husband Timmy of New Iberia; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Noah and Olide Boutte; paternal grandparents, Laurent and Olite Gerard; and a grandson, Carter Gerard.
