Kenneth James Thibodeaux

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Kenneth Thibodeaux, 79, who passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until service.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Kenneth was born and raised in St. Martinville, LA, where he also married his wife of 55 years and raised his two children. He was very involved in the community, participating as an usher at St. Martin de Tours for over 20 years and coaching for several years for the St. Martinville Jaycees Biddy Basketball Program. He was employed with Entex in New Iberia, LA for 40 years. Kenneth was also known as an avid gardener. He enjoyed the outdoors and caring for his fruit trees, even more, he loved delivering the fruits of his labor to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Thibodeaux; daughter, Shelly Thibodeaux; son, Aaron Thibodeaux (Tiffany); grandchildren, Jasmine Bulliard, Taylor Thibodeaux, Kori Bulliard, Alton Babers, Jr. and Kayden Babers; and sister, Jeannette Thibodeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Thibodeaux and Lena Segura.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Thibodeaux, Ricky Latiolais, Jeffrey Wade Latiolais, Bradley Merlin Latiolais, Mark Latiolais and Roland Robicheaux Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jasmine Bulliard, Taylor Thibodeaux, Kori Bulliard, Alton Babers Jr. and Kayden Babers.
