Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, for Kirk James Guidry, 69, who passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until funeral service at 1:00 pm on Saturday. Reverend Charles Francis Fontenot of St. Joseph Carpenter House- Lafayette, will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Kirk Guidry was born on January 25, 1947. He was a graduate of Cecilia High School and started his life working on the river boat, eventually becoming captain before moving to the oilfield industry. Kirk enjoyed LSU and Saints football, fishing, hunting, Cajun dancing, and politics at his Mc Donald's world changing meetings. His love for boating led him to the air boat business, which then became a tour business. Kirk will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving devoted companion, Mary Broussard Fletcher; children, Jean Paul Guidry and wife Rachael, Abbie Lane Guidry Feerick, Colette Guidry LeBourgeois and husband Ezra, and Aline M. Guidry; son-in-law, Shawn Feerick; grandchildren, Chelsea Feerick, Ashley Feerick, Beau Feerick, Grace LeBourgeois, Estelle LeBourgeois, Dylan LeBourgeois, Jean-Luke Guidry, and Jacques Guidry; sister, Vicky Hebert; and brothers, Danny Guidry, Perry Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Rosemond Guidry and Lydia Dupuis Guidry; and his sister, Lois Hebert.
