Kury Buffington

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM , Wednesday, March 9, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Kury 'Buff' Buffington, 27, who passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Breaux Bridge . Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery . Jared Davis of the Branch Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate. Born on July 19, 1983 , Kury is the son of Tony and Cindy Derouen Buffington. He worked for Superior Energy for the past three years as a cement supervisor. Buff enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His greatest pleasure was time spent with family and friends, especially his children. In addition to his parents, Kury is survived by his fiancee, Dawn Hebert of Breaux Bridge; his children, Aidan Gene and Isabella Elise Buffington; his sisters, Chelsie Olivier, her husband Paul of Jeanerette, Kina Vitatoe, her husband Leonard, Karing Lanning, her husband Jordan; Kandice Buffington; his paternal grandmother, Patsy Guidry, all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willis and Elaine Derouen and his paternal grandfather, Hap Guidry. Pallbearers will be Jake Segura, Josh Boutte, Daniel Broussard, Dereck Babin, Travis Martin, Jonta Vitatoe, Durel Stroud and Traylon Vitatoe. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
