Kyla Reese Brodnax

New Iberia – A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 until 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Kyla Reese Brodnax, 18, who passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

A eulogy will be read at 4:00 pm on Sunday

Entombment will be at a later date.

A resident of New Iberia, Kyla was born on June 5, 2004 in New Orleans and was a senior at New Iberia Senior High School. An avid reader, she was very creative and talented in painting, drawing, jewelry making and writing stories. Kyla also enjoyed sushi, shrimp and hot Cheetos.

She is survived by her father, James Brodnax (Katie); mother, Lindsey Jennings; godmother, Heather Schichilone; brothers, Mason Brodnax, Shay Brodnax and Rush Jennings; a nephew, Jaxon Brodnax; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kyla was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Linda Brodnax, Charmaine Hedrick, Ronald Hedrick and Clint Jennings.
