Laida Ann Guidry Viator

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Laida Ann Guidry Viator, 79, who died on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Rev. Paul Neel will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Mrs. Viator was born on September 9, 1934, and was the daughter of Angelas and Estella Talley Guidry. A member of Assembly Christian Church, she enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Marty Viator and wife Joni of New Iberia, Debbie Viator Mason and husband Rick of Youngsville, Brenda Viator Mora of New Iberia; brother, Raymond Guidry and wife Oline of Catahoula; sisters, Gladys Berthelot of Lafayette, Leona Savoie and husband Benny of New Iberia; sister-in-law, Janice LeBlanc of New Iberia; 4 grandchildren, Jaime Frederick and husband Jeremy, Dwight B. Viator, Micah Mora, Mattias Mora; 3 great grandchildren, Jadon Frederick, Jenna Frederick, and Jericho Frederick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight J. Viator; an infant daughter; and brothers, Leonard Guidry, Elton Guidry, and Paul Guidry.
