Larry Gene Lanclos, Sr.

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Larry Gene Lanclos, Sr., 72, who passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville from 2:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday by St. Leo the Great Rosary Group.Rev. Darren Eldridge will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Larry was born February 10, 1949 in Opelousas. He was employed with the school system for 40 years. Larry was a coach, science teacher and physical education teacher. He served as the Principal of Leonville High, Leonville Elementary, and Supervisor of Instruction for the St. Landry Parish School Board. He is survived by his wife 51 years, Sandra Bonin Lanclos of Arnaudville; daughter, Cori Lyn Lanclos of Dallas, TX; son, Larry Gene Lanclos Jr. (Courtney) of Lafayette; brothers, Phillip Lloyd Lanclos and Dwayne Keith Lanclos (Marji); grandchildren, Avery Lynn Lanclos and Gracey Marie Lanclos; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Whitby Lanclos and Rita Delafosse Lanclos.
