Larry Stephen Savoy

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for Larry Stephen Savoy, 63, who passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Larry was a member of the Cattleman's Association. During his free time, he enjoyed tending to his farm, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren. He was actively involved throughout the community, especially in the 4-H livestock shows in St. Martin Parish. He is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years Jackie Roberts Savoy; son, Wade Savoy and wife Stacey of Parks; daughter, Ashley Savoy Huval and husband Mark of Breaux Bridge; brother, Wayne Savoy of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Stephenie Savoy, Ben Savoy, Sophie Savoy, Ayden Huval, Blake Huval, Shelbi Huval, and Megan Dawson; nephews, Gerald Savoy and spouse Hillary of Breaux Bridge, Joey "Buddy" Benoit of Breaux Bridge, Fred Paul Champagne of New Iberia, and Mathieu Champagne and spouse Danita of St. Martinville; nieces, Melinda Latiolais and spouse Tony of Breaux Bridge and Kristi Melancon of Breaux Bridge; mother in law, Joan Roberts of Breaux Bridge; sister in laws, Shari Roberts of New Iberia and Geraldine Benoit of Breaux Bridge; Godchild, Angelle Savoy of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Savoy; mother, Claudia S. Savoy; father in law, Gerald Roberts; niece-Godchild, Melissa Savoy; and sister in law, Penny Savoy. Pallbearers will be Gerald Savoy, Michael Savoy, Jean Naquin, Kenneth Addison, Brian Latiolais and Austin Savoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Savoy, Ayden Huval, Blake Huval, Kyle Latiolais, and Joey "Buddy" Benoit.
