St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church honoring the life of Larry Joseph Theriot, Sr., 81, who passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at his residence.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Friday morning by his sister, Joan Broussard.
Father Louis Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Gale Bonin and Carl Broussard.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, Larry was an A&P mechanic at PHI for 30 years. After retiring, he continued to stay busy as a skilled craftsman with an incredible ability to build, repair or create just about anything. There seemed to be no project too difficult for him to tackle.
In his free time, he loved gardening and took great pride in his yard, even building a pond and camp in his backyard by hand. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, resourcefulness, generosity, and the countless things he built, fixed, and created throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura Lee Latiolais Theriot; daughters, Monica Ann Theriot-Habetz (Randal) and Nicole Theriot Hamilton (Paul); son, Larry Joseph Theriot, Jr.; sisters, Irmalene Theriot Gaudet, Gale Bonin (Perry) and Joan Broussard (Carl); brother, Ronnie Theriot (Maxine); grandchildren, Kenedi Habetz, Conner Hamilton (Kinley), Cade Habetz, Carter Hamilton and KateLynn Hamilton.
He is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow J. Theriot; mother, Luda Claudia Bernis Theriot; sister, Loyce Thomas; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Gaudet and Bradley Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Conner Hamilton, Cade Habetz, Carter Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, Randy Habetz and Ronnie Theriot.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenedi Habetz, KateLynn Hamilton, Kinley Hamilton, Izzy Faulk, Todd Gaudet and Gage Riley.
