Laura "T-Lou" Comb

Breaux Bridge Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Laura "T-Lou" Melancon Comb, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:30 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Laura spent most of her time taking care of her late husband, Louis, a sugar cane farmer. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and most of all shopping. Laura also loved talking in French and listening to Cajun music. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Laura, Mamere, as her grandchildren would call her, will be remembered as a kind and loving soul. She is survived by two sons, Ricky Comb and wife, Patsy, and Michael Comb and wife, Linda, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Janet M. Lasseigne of Thibodaux, and Judy A. Cline and husband, Johnny, of Lafayette; her sister, Georgia Landry and husband, Wilbert, of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and 18 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Labbe Melancon, Sr.; her mother, Jeanne Bertinot Melancon; her husband, Louis Comb; two brothers, Labbe "L.J." Melancon, Jr. and Thaddeus Melancon; and her son-in-law, Leonard Lasseigne. Pallbearers will be Jacob Comb, Todd Lasseigne, Brent Mouton, Kyle Mouton, Casey Comb, and Kelley Comb.
