Leatrice "Tatis" Bergeron Wade

Breaux Bridge - A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 18, 2025 at St. Bernard Cemetery #2 for Leatrice "Tatis" Bergeron Wade, 76, who passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her residence.

Visitation will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening.

Father Reed Bellingham will officiate at the graveside service.

Leatrice delighted in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep passion for nature, finding joy in her love for plants and her fascination with birdwatching. She had a creative soul and expressed her talents through her love of sewing. She was also a frequent shopper at Hobby Lobby, where she often explored new projects and found inspiration. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she never failed to bring laughter to gatherings with her family and friends.

Leatrice cherished her friendships, often reconnecting with her classmates once a month for heartfelt conversations and shared memories. Above all, it was her strength and resilience that stood out, inspiring those around her to embrace life with courage and laughter.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Gordon Wade, who was always by her side; children, Patti Chauffe (Ron), Joey Benoit (Mona), Cody Benoit (Tonia), Nicole Thibodeaux (Steven), Jessica Wirtz (Chris) and Isaac Thibodeaux (Melissa); sister, Renella Castille; sister-in-law, Heather Wade; brother-in-law, Ian Wade (Nikki); grandchildren, Michelle Comb (Kelly), Megan Chauffe (Bryan), Macie Northcutt (Brandon), Jax Roberts, Joshua Benoit (Audrey), Abby Theriot (Adam), Lindsey Babineaux (Brad), Leslie Benoit (Tracy), Ashley Rodriguez (Josh), Amanda Allen, Kami Allen, Taylor Wiedeman, Amiee Lalonde, Marshall Wirtz, Aubrie Thibodeaux, Jillian Thibodeaux and Laney Thibodeaux; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Whitney Bergeron and Anne Thibodeaux Bergeron; siblings, Alton Bergeron, Beatrice Castille, Clifton Bergeron and Rena Broussard; parents-in-law, Mary and Albert Wade; and brother-in-law, Malcolm Wade.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Comb, Joey Benoit, Cody Benoit, Isaac Thibodeaux, Steven Pharis and Brandon Northcut.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Ron Chauffe.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Southern Grace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave her during her final days.
