St. Martinville, Louisiana- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Notre Dame Catholic Church honoring the life of Leeanna B. Anthony, 62, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM on Saturday.

Rev. Clifton Labbe will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Hamilton Ledet. and Shantelle Bonhomme. Gift bearers will be Dantrelle Bonhomme, Da'Kylen Bonhomme, and Dakoda Sam.

Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leeanna B. Anthony, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on May 9, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on December 21, 1962, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Leeanna touched the lives of all who knew her with her warm spirit and vibrant personality.

Residing in Saint Martinville, Louisiana, Leeanna dedicated her life to serving others, most notably as a devoted school bus driver in the education industry. Her commitment to the children she transported was evident in her kindness and attentiveness, embodying the heart of a true caregiver.

Leeanna was a joyous soul who thrived on the love and laughter of her family and friends. She cherished moments spent at the casino, relishing in the thrill of the game, and lit up any room with her dance moves. Her passion for cooking and entertaining brought loved ones together, especially during the holidays when her decorations transformed her home into a festive haven. An avid shopper and card player, Leeanna found joy in life's simple pleasures, always ready with a smile to share.

She is survived by her daughter, Deandra (Quinlynn) Sam; sons, Deontae Bonhomme, Sr., Donervon (Crystal) Bonhomme, Jordy Anthony, Sr., and Jody (Stacey) Anthony, Jr.; brothers, Sidney Bonhomme, David Bonhomme, Sr., Michael Bonhomme, Russell (Rachael) Bonhomme, and Gary Bonhomme, Sr.; sisters, Nancy Bonhomme and Carolyn (Rev. Eric) Mitchell; grandchildren, Dantrelle, Deontae, Jr. Da'Shante, Da'Vina, Davon, D'Haven, Sr. , Jodie and Da'kylen Bonhomme, Dakoda, Naiden and Nevaeh Sam, Alana, Jordy, Jr.,Joziah, Jahzara, Zariah, Mila, Jayden and Jordan Anthony; great-grandchildren, D' Haven Jr., Dream, Ka'son, A'amaz and Amour'a Bonhomme.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Jody Anthony, Sr.; parents, Howard and Loveina Bonhomme, Sr.; brothers, Lawrence, Howard, Jr., Peter, Bradley, Hollis, and Randy Sr. Bonhomme; and her sister, Linda Ledet.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Mallery, Calvin Mallery, Clifford Anthony, Jr., Marcus Dauphine, Travis Anthony, and Tyrus Bonhomme.

Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, grandchildren, great grandchildren, Edmond Joseph, Quinlynn Sam and her godchildren, La'darius Anthony, Darren Valsin and Nicole Joseph.

Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville(337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
