New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Lelia Moore LeBlanc, 85, who died on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. LeBlanc was born on December 7, 1928 to Elie and Bertha Segura Moore. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, praying for everyone, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Edward John LeBlanc of New Iberia; daughters, Bertha Bertie Dulin of New Iberia, Jody Bourgeois and husband David of Youngsville, Cheryl Gachassin and husband Rickey of New Iberia; sister, Lillian Adams of Rynella; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eula LaCoste, Elia Boudreaux, Ada Boudreaux, Grace Walker, Lucille Broussard; brothers, Elias Moore, Amar Moore, Ellis Moore, and Lee Moore. Pallbearers will be David Bourgeois, Sr., Rickey Gachassin, Sr., David Bourgeois, Jr., Rickey Gachassin, Jr., Cheramie Gachassin, and Skye Dulin.
