Lena Lalonde Olivier

Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Lena Lalonde Olivier, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:15 am on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Chantelle Stelly and Brooke Benton. Gift Bearers will be Bailie Benton, Blair Benton, and Lilly Antoine. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Mrs. Olivier enjoyed raising all kinds of farm animals and had a green thumb with her garden. As a pastime she enjoyed crocheting, sharing her many creations with family and friends, and going on trips to antique shops and flea markets. She especially loved visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Emile Olivier; two daughters, Bertha Begnaud and her husband, Dennis, and Sally Stelly and her husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Angela Benton and her husband, Brady, Shawn Begnaud and his wife, Jessie Doucet, Tiffany Huval and her husband, Mike, Chantelle Stelly, and Brandon Stelly and his wife, Nita Bex; six great grandchildren, Brooke Benton, Blair Benton, Bailie Benton, Emmalyn Stelly, Chelsea Doucet, and Seth Doucet; and four great-great grandchildren, Lilly Paige Antoine, Resea Doucet, Myah St. Julien, and Carter Doucet. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Lalonde; her parents, Joseph and Malize Cormier Richard; an infant brother, Joseph Roy; and two sisters, Frances Prejean and Evelyn Tauzin. Pallbearers will be Brandon Stelly, Shawn Begnaud, Richard Carpenter, Mark Stelly, Mike Huval, and Brady Benton. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
