Lena Inzerella Pritchard

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Lena Ann Inzerella Pritchard, 83, who passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at her residence.
 
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Saturday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue Sunday from 8:00 am until the time of service.
 
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening.
 
Father Ed Degeyter will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
 
Lena was a legal secretary most of her life, working for numerous attorneys in both Lafayette and St. Martin Parish. She was amazing at her work and was known for being an expert at shorthand. Lena also had a natural ability for words; she loved writing, reading, and spelling. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening; she took great pride in all the beautiful foliage in her yard and her beloved rock garden. Her Italian heritage was also a great treasure to her. Lena was an avid watcher of the news; she was curious and liked to keep abreast of important national and worldly affairs. Those who loved her will remember such special memories around her table, whether it was drinking coffee, playing cards, or laughing at her impassioned storytelling. She went by many titles in her life, most notably Little Maw-Maw and Maw-Maw Lena, and was an adoring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Pritchard; daughter, Hollie P. Domingue (Scott); son-in-law, James "Jimbo" Bienvenu; brother, Santo Inzerella (Syl); her six grandchildren, Leah, Annie, Beau (Lana), and Claire, Reece, and Lennon (Hollie); and six great-grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Thomas Pritchard (Korean War veteran); daughter, Lana P. Bienvenu; parents, Dominic Inzerella and Antonia Milazzo Inzerella; and her brother, Tony Inzerella.
