Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Lenny "Pete" Malorin, 85, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 8:30 am until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Thursday. 

Deacon Butch Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. The reader will be Katie Durio.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard #2. 

Lenny was born on May 29, 1938, in Breaux Bridge. He honorably served in the Louisiana National Guard for 9 years. His entire career was working in the electrical construction industry. Lenny loved his family and enjoyed playing pranks and jokes on them. Those are memories that will live on forever.

Lenny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his twin grandsons, who brought him such happiness. He treasured each moment he was able to spend with them. 

Since his retirement he enjoyed cutting grass, painting adult coloring books, western movies, listening to French music, and traveling. 

He is now in eternal glory and knows only peace and no more pain. Lenny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita Theriot Malorin; daughter, Kathryn Robin; son-in-law, Tony Robin; sister, Mavis Romero; grandchildren, Kane Robin and Koen Robin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Viola Landry Malorin; brother, Robert Malorin; and his godson, Mark Romero.

Pallbearers will be Tony Robin, Kyle Theriot, Sammy Costley, Scott Costley, Pamela Costley, and Katie Durio. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Preston "Tiger" Theriot, Jack Leblanc, Kane Robin and Koen Robin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful employees of Heart of Hospice, especially Treashur, Cookie, Shelton, and Kellie, who cared for Lenny during the last year and brought comfort to him and his family.
