Arnaudville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Leo Quebedeaux, 78, who passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday; 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday; and continue on Thursday at 8 am until 12:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Gena Q. Boullion and Mia Quebedeaux. Gift Bearers will be Darrell James Quebedeaux, II, Joseph Quebedeaux, Emily Quebedeaux, and Maci Quebedeaux.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Leo worked for the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for 30 years. He served as Mayor of the Town of Arnaudville for four years and was an honorable member of the Arnaudville Volunteer Fire Department.
Leo enjoyed working and hunting and he loved spending time with this family and friends. He especially loved cooking and feeding the ones he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Kidder Quebedeaux of Arnaudville; three sons, Tony Quebedeaux and Darrell J. Quebedeaux and his wife, Sophia Guidry Quebedeaux, all of Arnaudville, and Dwayne A. Quebedeaux and his wife, Susan D. Quebedeaux, of Lafayette; his sister, Melia Quebedeaux Kersey and her husband, Gene, of Norman, OK; seven grandchildren, Nikki Q. Clark, Gena Q. Boullion, Emily Quebedeaux, Joseph Quebedeaux, Mia Quebedeaux, Maci Quebedeaux, and Darrell James Quebedeaux, II; and one great grandchild, Riley Clark.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Euphenie Bernard Quebedeaux; his son, Keith Quebedeaux; and three brothers, Lawrence, Pierre, and Marcel Quebedeaux.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Quebedeaux, Tony Quebedeaux, Irvin Thibodeaux, Ted Miller, Scott Boullion, and Mike Gillard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell James Quebedeaux, II and Joseph Quebedeaux.
