Leo Quebedeaux, Jr.

Breaux Bridge - It is with great sadness that we share that Leo Quebedeaux passed away at Ochsner LGMC following Open Heart Surgery on Friday, May 17, 2024. He was 79 years young.  He was born on December 28, 1944, to Leo Quebedeaux, Sr., and Anna Noel Quebedeaux.  He was married to Druscilla Theriot Quebedeaux for 42 ½ years.

A Day of Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Leo Quebedeaux.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

A Rosary will be prayed at 12:00 PM on Saturday, by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Altar Server will be Cameron Michael Gary, Seminarian.

Readers will be Kayla Gary and Kurry Huval. Gift bearers will be all of his loving grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Drake Woodson, Bryant Newton, Jason Wiedeman, Conrad Gary, Andrew Quebedeaux, and Matthew Landry.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2.

Leo worked at Texas Gas and Trans Canada Gas Plant for over 40 years.  After retirement, he loved to capture the natural scenes of nature with the lens of a camera and was happiest when woodworking in his shop.     

Leo, "PeePaw", is survived by his wife, Druscilla "MeeMaw" Theriot Quebedeaux; sister, Betty Quebedeaux Newton (Lawrence Emerson); children: Jody Quebedeaux (Amanda), Dr. Andy Quebedeaux (Rachael), Karla Anne Huval (fiancé, Jerry Castille), Kayla Huval Gary (Conrad), and Kurry Huval; grandchildren, Matthew Jude Landry, Janice Shelby Quebedeaux, Sydney Jeanette Quebedeaux, Lauren Joyce Soileau, Libby Tanner Woodson (Drake), Cameron Michael Gary, and Allysse Rose Quebedeaux; great grandchildren, Brooklynn June Quebedeaux, Kollins Leighton Quebedeaux; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Quebedeaux, Sr. and Anna Noel Quebedeaux; brothers, Olen Quebedeaux and wife, Iva Mae, and Andrew Quebedeaux and wife, Bernice; and sister, Mary Quebedeaux Duplechain.
