Leona Albert Champagne Robin

Breaux Bridge- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Teche Baptist Church for Leona Albert Champagne Robin, 76, who passed away on September 14, 2024.

A visitation will take place at Teche Baptist Church, 3634 Grand Point Hwy, Breaux Bridge, La 70517, on Thursday from 8:30 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Pastor Reggie Williams will officiate at the funeral service. Reader will be Lynndsie Champagne.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Leona Albert Champagne Robin, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and member of the community. Born on May 21, 1948, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Leona dedicated her life to serving others and spreading love to all those she encountered.

Her unwavering faith in the Lord led her to be an active member of Teche Baptist Church, where she found joy in volunteering and worshiping with her church family. Her kind and caring nature touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her strength, selflessness and compassion. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and around those she loved. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Dalton Joseph Robin; son, Samuel D. Champagne; granddaughter, Lynndsie Alexis Dene' Champagne; siblings, Clytus Albert, Jr. and Ursel Courville; step children, Melissa Champagne, Angella Robin, Laurie R. Laneaux (Lambert), Jeremy Robin, and Dexter Guidry; seven step grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clytus Albert, Sr. and Anna Lou Huval Albert; sisters, Florine Castille, Sheena Lavergne, and Betty Robin; and her first husband, Ernest Lee Allen Champagne.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Champagne, Josh Frederick, Tony Robin, Hunter Rogers, Cory Laneaux, and Sonny Laneaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be London Davitt, Paris Davitt, Brantley Laneaux and Dexter Guidry.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help defer funeral expenses.
