Leroy "Crip" Joseph Fuselier, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leroy "Crip" Joseph Fuselier, Sr., who left this world on March 22, 2026, at the age of 91. Leroy was born on May 12, 1934, in Saint Martinville, and spent much of his life in Broussard, surrounded by the things he loved most: family, friends, and horses

As per Leroy's wishes, a cremation will take place. No services will be held at this time.

Leroy, known as "Crip" to many, worked in construction all his life and took much pride in his work. He had a love for riding horses, playing bouree', and being near his family.

Crip was a true character, known for his quick wit and lighthearted spirit. He was known for "stirring the pot," always bringing laughter and sometimes a bit of mischief into any gathering. Though he may have kept everyone on their toes with his unpredictable humor, his heart was always in the right place, and his love for his family was immeasurable. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his sons, Leroy "Boo Boo" Fuselier, Jr. (Jada) and Dennis Fuselier (Kayla); grandchildren, Tracy Resweber, Jacob Fuselier, Gabrielle Fuselier, Miley Fuselier, Nataleigh Fuselier, Freya Fuselier, Shana Fuselier and Amanda Fuselier; great grandchildren, Kohen Boudreaux and Maddox Boudreaux; and his sister, Genevieve deMahy Perry.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna Bouttee deMahy Fuselier; siblings, Allen Fuselier, Emilie Fuselier Adams, Elize Taylor, Inez deMahy Budwine, Ernest deMahy, Francis deMahy, and Anna Mae Bergeron.

He may have left us physically, but his spirit will live on in the memories we will cherish forever.
