Leroy Legnon Sr

New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Leroy Legnon, Sr., 75, who died December 27, 2013, in New Iberia. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. A native of New Iberia, Mr. Legnon was born on December 7, 1938, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, the State of Louisiana, and the City of New Iberia. Survivors include his son, Leroy Lee Legnon, Jr. and wife Trina of Bellevue, Washington; daughter, Michelle Susan Smith and husband Jake of Salem, Virginia; brothers, Mitchell Blanchard, Dennis Pete Desormeaux, Stafford Stutes; sisters, Laura Mae Dugas, Doris Gaspard, Alozia Vice, Mazelda Marie Blanchard, Thelma M. Stutes, Melissa Holden; and grandchildren, Kyle and Nyree. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Stutes; father, Harrison Legnon.
