Libby Cortez Meche

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Arnaudville, for Libby Cortez Meche, 52, who passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue at 7:00 am until 12:45 pm on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Deacon Ken Arnaud will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Kiley Guidry and Carolyn Babineaux. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. She is survived by her mother, Isabelle Cortez; two sons, Ruedall Meche, Jr. and Joshua Meche, both of Arnaudville; her daughter, Jamie Meche and husband, Broderick Mouton, of Scott; her brother, Gene Kirby Cortez of Church Point; three sisters, Shelly Cortez of Breaux Bridge, Tessa Taylor of Lafayette, and Lawanda Laneax of Arnaudville, five grandchildren, Devin Bernard, Aziah Bernard, Erin Theriot, Calea Meche, and Emma Meche. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Cortez; and her husband, Ruedale Meche. Pallbearers will be, Jacob Taylor, Chadwick Mouton, Broderick Mouton, Terrance Alex, Jonqualan Alexander, and Herman Crutcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Zeringue and Devin Bernard.
