New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia for Lillia Pesson Patton, 82, who died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will follow at Broussard Cemetery Annex in New Iberia.
Rev. Edward Starks will officiate the services.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, November 11, 2013 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
Lillia was a member of the Day Lily Society, and an active member in the church. She taught Sunday school and did the bookkeeping for Patton Farms.
Lillia was very involved in making porcelain dolls. She enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Patton, Sr. of New Iberia; her son, Kenneth Kenny E. Patton, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of New Iberia; her grandchild, Ansley Barnes and her husband, Paul of Broussard; her step grandchild, Angela Blanchard and her husband, Brian; six great grandchildren, Hailey Blanchard, Ali Blanchard, Courtney Blanchard, Patton Barnes, Paisley Barnes and Parker Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fereand and Valerie Blanchard Pesson; her sisters, Leona Comeaux, Irene Landry, Ethel Viator, Lillian Badeaux and one infant sister; her brothers, Albert and Henry Pesson; and one great grandchild, Ashtyn Barnes.
Pallbearers will be Paul Barnes, Jeff Badeaux, Ross Landry, Jack Viator, Sunny Comeaux and Earl Pesson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Blanchard, Rose Robertson, Dee Boutte and Sue Badeaux.
