BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. , on Thursday, February 24, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge , for Lillie Mae Frederick Thibodeaux, 80, who passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 1 in Breaux Bridge .
Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Michelle Higginbotham and Meagan Campbell.
Lillie Mae was retired from Robert's Jewelry in Breaux Bridge , where she had worked for a number of years. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds. Her efforts for maintaining a beautiful yard did not go unrecognized.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Thibodeaux of Parks; her son, Charlie J. Thibodeaux of Parks; her daughter, Patricia Thibodeaux and her husband, Ray, of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Ov Frederick, Jr. and his wife, Marla, of Lafayette; four sisters, Leona Guidry and her husband, Harris, Mazel Hebert and her husband, Jerry, Amiee Blanchard and her husband, Leland, all of Breaux Bridge, and Verna Boutte and her husband, Ray, of Broussard; four grandchildren, Michael Thibodeaux, Michelle T. Higginbotham, Marsha T. Lalonde, and Meagan T. Campbell; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ov Frederick, Sr. and Marie Champagne Frederick; and two sisters, Lucille Allemond and Agnes Thibodeaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, with a recitation of the Rosary by Wildie D. Roberts at 10:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Ov Frederick, Jr., Ray Thibodeaux, Dustin Lalonde, Mike Thibodeaux, Marty Campbell, and Shawn Higginbotham.
