Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 8, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Lily ""Greta"" Halphen Saia, 81, who passed away Monday, July 4, 2005 after a brief illness. She was born September 27, 1923 in St. Martinville, LA to Fabio George and Louise Christine Fuselier Halphen, I. She moved from Baton Rouge, LA to Williamsburg, VA to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tom Davis. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. She is survived by a son, Wayne Lee White and his wife, Kay of Baton Rouge, LA; and a daughter Judy Davis and her husband, Tom, of Williamsburg, VA. ?She cherished her grandchildren, Samantha White, Lee White, William White, Jennifer Davis Anderson and her husband, Derek, Brian Davis and his wife, Rachael, Joshua Davis and his wife, Dana Helmer; as well as, her great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Miles, and Lydia Anderson, Hannah Davis and Samantha Sowder. Her loving family includes her sisters, Louise Gentry of Woodland, CA, Mary Hollander of Sheridan, CA; Goldie Gilson and her husband, Ronnie of Citrus Heights, CA, Theresa Leon of Citrus Heights, CA, Rita Shobe and her husband, Merritt of St. Simons Island, GA, Gloria Sheppard and her husband., Bobby, of Livingston, LA, Ramona Cole of Lafayette, LA, Jacqueline Case of Lafayette, LA, Sandra Guillotte and her husband, Wilton of New Iberia, LA, and Barbara Fuselier of Sacramento, CA. Lily will be missed by her sisters for her kind heart and generosity. ??She was also loved by a host of nieces and nephews and their extended families. She was preceded in death by her husbands: ?Joseph Saia and Carmie Lee White; her parents, Louise Christine and Fabio G. Halphen, I; her brothers: Fabio II, Alfred, Lawrence, Clarence, Dalton, Leonard, Joseph and Alvin Halphen; and sisters, Marguerite Halphen and Oline Helmer The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2 PM ~ 10 PM on Thursday and continue at 9 AM on Friday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
